Marie Rochelle: Coffee and Cream

The official website for best selling author of interracial romance

Boss Man, the second book in the Tycoon Club series, is the story of Fancy Shayne and Maxwell Reed's romance. As readers might recall from Dangerous Bet: Troy's Revenge, Maxwell is a blond "manly man" with a "commanding air of self-confidence," a former bull-riding rodeo star, who turns his inherited Cross Star Ranch into a million dollar enterprise. Fancy quits her job as a waitress at the Tycoon Club to become Maxwell's cook/personal assistant, a live-in position.  One quarter-way through the book we know he likes her looks, cooking and office skills, but is "too broken a man" to pursue her and to love.

Beneath the Surface

Rynne Slater is a twenty- eight year old workaholic. Gorgeous as she is intelligent, she has created a skin cream designed to eliminate scars. Advised to take a mandatory vacation, Rynne goes to Texas to visit her brother and nephew. An accident with a baseball and a window allows for a chance meeting with Pierce McMahon – a man who turns out to be the love of Rynne's life.

Pierce McMahon was the type of man women swooned over, prior to an attack that left his handsome face in a hideous state. He now lives in an almost hermit state, refusing to get close to people, and staying away from the public. When he spotted Rynne, Pierce knew he was a goner.

The secrets Rynne is keeping from Pierce could form a permanent rift between the two lovers. Will Rynne tell him the truth before it is too late? Or will she lose the one person who finally loves her and is willing to keep her happiness above all else?
Pierce was as stubborn as he was handsome. Under that rough exterior beat the heart of a man who missed having someone who saw the real him. Rynne was resourceful and skilled in her profession. Growing up with parents who treated her second best messed with her self-esteem, and made her fear trusting anyone with her heart. Rynne didn’t believe she would ever be worthy of love. Ms. Marie Rochelle has written a wonderful story about love, hopes, and dreams. The two lead characters prove that with the right companion, fears are conquered and a new chapter designed for happiness written for the gloomiest of existences. The characters, setting and plot were all wonderful. There is always something more to a person if we are willing to look Beneath the Surface. That was the message I took from this book. If you are looking for a love story filled with humor, drama, and sensual love making Beneath the Surface is just what you are looking for.

Fallen Angels Review for Caught

Caught

Ryan Lerner is a Police Officer trying to recover from a traumatic experience from his last undercover assignment. His sergeant is worried about him and wants to put Ryan on leave. Ryan, on the other hand, doesn’t want to be left out of the latest jewelry heist case involving a very attractive Ajana Bennett. Soon enough Ryan discovers there’s more to Ajana than meets the eye. After coming in contact with the mocha-skinned beauty, Ryan believes that Ajana has not only stolen the jewelry she has stolen his heart.

Ryan is a handsome cop with good instincts. He comes equipped with the makings for a man who uses his handcuffs on a regular, and not just to apprehend fugitives. Ajana is a petite woman full of spunk. She gives pinups a run for their money and has Ryan salivating before their first meeting. The couple’s magnetism was apparent and was not deterred by the fact that they are on opposite sides of the law. Marie Rochelle brings some of the best characters together in her books, and Caught is no exception to the rule. The characters, setting, and plot all meshed well. I’m anxiously waiting for the next part of this series and hoping that Ryan won’t have to go against his heart. This is a wonderful story sure to please fans and new comers alike.

Erotic Interracial Romance
Heat Rating: 3 Novas out of 5

Traci Wells may hate going to the gym, but she knows in order to keep her body in shape, it is just something that has to be done. Usually her older sister Cherise joins her, but she is not as dedicated to exercise as Traci is. Even though Traci may think she doesn't have the perfect body, there is one man who definitely thinks she is all too perfect. Zack Drace notices Traci every time he comes to work out. He thinks she is gorgeous and would love nothing more than to ask her out, but since he has never dated outside his own race, he is not sure what to expect. Plus, what would his brothers say about his dating a black woman?

Zack is surprised to see Traci working as a nurse when he comes to the hospital because his brother Brad hurt his ankle playing tennis. Zack is thrilled because this will give him the perfect opportunity to finally ask Traci out. But because Brad is moody and a bit rude to Traci, Zack loses another chance. Finally, Zack tracks Traci down at the gym, and this time he won't let her get away. He finally asks her out, and she says yes.

Because Traci has never dated a white man before, she keeps Zack a secret from Cherise. Cherise has enough problems with someone trying to take her antique store away from her. And it is quite a coincidence when Lee, Zack's brother, is the man who wants Cherise's property! Zack doesn't realize that Traci is related to Cherise, and of course, when Traci figures out everything, it is almost too late. Can two people who seem so right for each other ever have the chance at their own happily ever after when the people they care most about want to keep them apart?

MY DEEPEST LOVE: ZACK, is a wonderful story about opposites attracting and the lengths people must go through to be together and happy. Zack and Traci seem so very real with their everyday problems such as trying to make a relationship work between them. Marie Rochelle does not sugar coat the different worlds they come from. Zack seems more innocent of the two, because he sees Traci for what she is, a beautiful and intelligent woman, and not because of her skin color. Traci has more concerns for her sister, who seems so unhappy with her life in general. And it is unfortunate that someone in Zack's family IS the one trying to take Cherise's pride and joy away from her, which is just another roadblock in Zack and Traci's already fragile romance.

Cherise may seems a bit harsh, but she is a woman who has low self-esteem and is so lonely. But when Lee enters the picture, he doesn't just want her store. These two may seem as if they can't stand each other, but when Lee kisses Cherise, things become very interesting between the two. This is one secondary story that is open ended, and Cherise and Lee will continue their bantering back and forth in CLOSER TO YOU: LEE, which will be published in November. Also, another Drake brother gets a little romance. Richard and his former employee, Dawn, seem to have sparks and should make for some interesting reading when their story, A TASTE FOR LOVE: RICHARD, comes out in a few weeks.

Marie Rochelle has a way of writing sexy, yet funny romances, and with MY DEEPEST LOVE: ZACK, she sure has written something special. She definitely caught my interest and I would recommend you introduce yourself to the world of the Drace brothers starting with Zack and his love, Traci.

Dr. Jason Tucker is not a happy man.  He has just spent seven sexless days with his girlfriend of six years, Lisa.  The only bright spots in his life were his very imminent break up with selfish and needy Lisa, and his patient and woman who made his body ache, Rayne.  Jason brings Rayne to the Roseport Rehabilitation Clinic where he works after Rayne runs into the street in front of Jason's car one stormy night six months ago.  Since Rayne has amnesia, she has no knowledge if she is married, seeing someone or has a family that's currently searching for her.  Jason breaks up with Lisa but Lisa is not going to let the man that she has plans to marry leave her for a patient.  Rayne just wants to know who she is and if Jason's feelings are as strong as hers.  Will Rayne's past destroy their future or will Lisa make sure that Jason pays for leaving and embarrassing her?

With All My Heart was like taking a romantic stroll along a winding garden path; very satisfying.  Ms. Rochelle has a very distinct way  of captivating her readers attention from the beginning of her story and holding on until the end.  The relationship between Rayne and Jason was a true romance that seemed to be a race against the clock.  Neither knew if Rayne would recover her memories or if their relationship would continue after Rayne was released from the Clinic.  In the beginning of the novel, Jason seemed very passive.  He didn't seem to want to take matters concerning Lisa and Rayne into his own hands until he was pushed into making the decision.  Rayne was just the patient who really didn't know how she should would have acted in different situations.  She didn't get feisty until Lisa confronted her alone.  Lisa thought that Jason should continue to bow to her since she had given his six years of her life.  She was the woman that you never wanted anyone that you cared about to meet.  This novel was definitely a palate cleanser and a recommended read.

Seventeen years ago, ten year old Sage Nicole was orphaned because her parents were killed in a house fire.  Her godparents took her in and raised her as their own.  Now at twenty-seven, Sage is still part of the Teveare family.  Shawn Teveare treats her like a little sister and older brother Rally treats her like she is a big pain in his ass.  Everyone knows that Sage has loved Rally since she was sixteen years old and now Sage feels it's time for her to move on.  Rally is in a relationship with Aponi, a Shawnee, that he thinks will fulfill a promise he made to his grandmother to keep his Teveare heritage going and since Sage isn't Native American, she can't be the woman his grandmother dreamed about.  When every confrontation between Rally and Sage continue to get more heated and passionate, Sage quits her job working for Rally and starts working for his best friend Julian.  What is more irritating to Rally is Sage moving out of the house that has been her home for 17 years.  Sage's decisions and her dating Julian finally causes Rally to confront the feelings he has tried to avoid.  Will Sage be able to leave behind her love for Rally and find happiness with the man that loves her or will Rally make her decision harder with his heated looks, kisses, and more?

Be With You was one of those "interactive" stories.  You know the kind that you talk to the characters like they can hear you and you are influencing their decision.  The intricately woven story was dense and satisfying.  Ms. Rochelle spun this story that put you into a trancelike state until you got to "The End".  Sage - innocent, responsible, and loyal.  Sage had to acknowledge and do things according to her own timing.  Rally had the "Eldest Child" role down to a science.  He was successful, determined, and also loyal to his family.  The secondary characters added more depth, dimension and insight to the main characters.  The arguments between Sage and Rally was fuel for their attraction to each other.  Make-up sex between these two would probably have the house burning down around them.  I highly recommend reading Be With You but be warned, start it when you have nothing else planned until you finish it.

After making wrong choice after wrong choice, Layla Sinclair has sworn off men for the foreseeable future.  She wants nothing more than to leave work early and watch the snow fall from her house.  That is not going to happen.  Preston Scott, owner of Director Enterprises, decides to give everyone who has worked for him more than a year two weeks off for the  Christmas holiday, including his Personal Assistant.  This is the first shoe dropping.  Since Layla is next in line based on experience, she doesn't get the two weeks off.  Now she is Preston's Personal Assistant.  The moment she walks into his office, she is fighting the attraction she feels for him.  Then he drops the other shoe, they will work for two weeks alone in his house.  He assures her that he is not attracted to her because he wants to get back with his ex-wife.  Layla also informs him that she is looking for something that last.  Will they be able to keep their relationship simply professional or will they both need to amend their Christmas Lists?

12 Days of Christmas: Special Delivery was well worth the read.  Marie  Rochelle does not disappoint with this seasonal quickie.  Layla - single, independent and tired of the games men are playing; is ready to settle down and have the life her best friend Bridget has - happily married and trying to have a baby.  Preston was a workaholic who pushed everyone just as hard as he pushed himself.  Work always came first and his relationships came second. They both tried to deny their attraction to each other.  I enjoyed Layla's flirting and playing with the pressure cooker that was Preston.  This quickie was just the right addition to a toasty fire and a cup of hot chocolate.  I hope Ms. Rochelle will revisit these characters in another book; possibly a series?

Cover Model is the first book I’ve read by author Marie Rochelle but it won’t be my last.  I loved every word.  She spun an excellent tale with great characters and plenty of ups and downs, true love, hot sex and danger add up to one great story.

Forbes Huntington really didn’t want this assignment, posing as a model for a Romance Book Cover was not what he joined the FBI to do, even if it was his way to catch one of their most wanted criminals.

Kissa Collins had the worst case of writers block ever.  She couldn’t understand it, usually her stories poured out of her like water, but not this time.  That is until she saw Forbes!

The heat was instantaneous between them and it took all of Forbes will power to keep from grabbing her the moments their eyes met.

Kissa didn’t want to get involved and she certainly didn’t want to fall in love with Forbes.  But fall she did and Forbes fell just as hard.  But when secrets come to the surface their relationship hits the rocks hard.  Forbes does all he can to win Kissa back but she’s not making it easy.

I really enjoyed this story and I was routing for Kissa and Forbes’ relationship to make it.  I felt their pain and their happiness even finding myself tearing up a time or two.  Cover Model feels real as does the electricity Kissa and Forbes generate in the bedroom.  Talk about a cure for writers block! You won’t want to miss this fun and sexy romp through Kissa and Forbes’ world.

When Shea Anderson went to the reading of Rebecca Anderson, owner of Luscious Lips Cosmetics, she thought she was only getting the silver Jag that she loved to drive.  It was quite a shock to her and Rebecca's nephew, Craig, that Rebecca had left the company worth over $6 million dollars to her and not him.  Rebecca had wanted them to be together but she couldn't possibly mean like this! They hated each other, right? Not according to the looks that everyone in town saw them give each other. Were they the only one's who didn't know what everyone else knew?

Marie Rochelle has done it again!  Great story line, romance, and the sex that makes you cross your legs to get a little relief.  The characters in Ms. Rochelle's books are so down to earth that you think they are your friend from around the corner that you grew up with and you know their whole life story.  There is never a dull moment in this or any of Marie Rochelle's books.  There are tons of "let me squirm and fan myself" one's though.  If you need a little "squirm" in your day, than All the Fixin' is for you.

How do you prove to a stranger that you don't pity him and you really want to be his friend? Rynne Slater decides to just be a pain in his butt because his blue eyes are something that she can't seem to forget. Pierce is an isolated and scarred man who things that Rynne is gorgeous but he doesn't want her pity. He wonders what it would be like to make love to her smooth looking chocolate brown skin but he is also apprehensive about letting her see him without his hood covering his face.

They both have secrets. Rynne's is that she is a famous chemist who's company is coming out with a scar removing cream. Pierce just doesn't trust that anyone will love him once they see his scars.

Will they both reveal their secrets and will they become much more than friends even though there are outside forces (friends and family) who don't approve of their interracial relationship?

I thoroughly enjoyed Beneath the Surface by Marie Rochelle. I could so relate to the characters because my husband and I (me with the chocolate brown skin and him with the blue eyes) had similar experiences. Ms. Rochelle made these characters and situations believable and you wanted to give Rynne a good shake sometimes when she did some of the crazy things she did or elbow Pierce when he asserted his "Man Thoughts" - you know the one's that really get on a woman's nerves. This book made me want to say, Girl, what are you thinking?" or "I know he didn't just go there." Fun reading. Thanks so much!

You know a book will be good when your relate to the characters before you finish the first chapter.  If you are sitting reading a book and talking to the book like it can really hear you, then you have a good book.  If you are saying, "Oh no she didn't!" and you know she did, then you have a good book.  If a book has you showing all of your teeth and make people wonder what has you in such a good mood, then you have a good book.  Pamper Me by Marie Rochelle is that book.

Rynne Slater is visiting her brother to take a vacation from her work. She has spent years working on a scar remover night and day and it has started to take a toll on her. By accident, she meets the town recluse , Pierce McMahon. Rynne is warned by everyone to stay away from him, but she had already made up her mind to befriend him. Although, if things go beyond friendship, she would not mind a bit.

A crazy ex-girlfriend turned Pierce into the scared and broken man he has become. The entire town treats him like a monster, so he only goes out with his face covered, usually at night. His life is very lonely until a dark goddess comes knocking at his door. Pierce wants her immediately, but instead of showing it, he tries to scare her off. Luckily for him, Rynne does not scare easily.

Rochelle called out to my nurturing side with Pierce. He is so broken and unaware of his sex appeal, that I had no choice other than to fall in love with him. Rynne is the only woman I would willingly couple him with, because he was the perfect man to help her with some of her baggage. I enjoyed the rush of anger that I felt toward Rynne’s brother and Pierce’s sister, and the change of heart one of them had. Beneath the Surface left me raw with emotion and longing for the next Rochelle read

Rynne Slater is a twenty-eight year old woman, who has been working on a miracle scar remover cream for the past six years. When her doctor tells her to take a rest because of stress, she decides to spend sometime with her brother and nephew. While playing ball with her nephew they break a neighbor’s, Pierce’s, window. Upon the first meeting, Rynne is interested in the man behind the hood.

Pierce McMahon’s life hasn’t been the same since his ex-girlfriend attacked him and cut up his face. He thought things would be different when he moved to a new place but the locals ran him out of town. After meeting Rynne he decides he wants to get to know her better, hoping that she will be able to look past the scars, beneath the surface to who he really is.

Beneath The Surface is one of those books I just couldn’t stop reading! Marie Rochelle weaves a great story of two people who fall in love despite pressure from their family not to. I liked Rynne because she kept on coming back to Pierce and finally broke down his defenses. Even though her brother was against her relationship she followed her heart.

Beneath the Surface is so hot, the pages singed my fingers. Pierce is so broken and so sexy I could not resist falling in love with him. Being scarred physically and emotionally added to his charm, and Rynne was woman enough to see this. Individually Pierce and Rynne intrigued me, but together they formed the perfect couple and I became their cheerleader. Every emotion was covered from A to Z from this story. Passion, drama, tenderness and humor were laced through the entire story. Rochelle made my heart skip a beat from this touching union and I look forward to reading it all over again.   Von 5 out of  5 Stars.....review from Red Rose Publishing

Rynne Slater is a sultry and famously wealthy Black chemist who invents a scar removing miracle cream, Vanish-Away and, she is also an actress. Ploughing years of research into the scar removing project, overworked, Rynne follows her doctor's orders to take a vacation and books into a hotel close to where her brother Byron lives with his son Jalen in Houston, Texas.
Pierce McMahon, is white and wears a hood to hide severe scars on both sides of his face. Pierce lives an isolated and reclusive lifestyle in the outskirts of Houston as a result of being forced out of town by Byron and his childhood friend Chadwick.
When Jalen’s baseball breaks one of Pierce’s windows, while playing in the field with Rynne, a sexual affair quickly ensues when Rynne visits Pierce to apologise for breaking the window. Byron finds out about the affair and strongly opposes to it. His attempts to talk Rynne out of the affair including the recruitment of his best friend Chadwick to charm Rynne away from Pierce fail. Pierce’s racist sister Sally, hates Rynne and, in her desperate attempts to stop the affair, calls in Pierce’s ex-girlfriend Marcia to win him back. Pierce, unaware of Rynne’s fame and miracle cream, falls deeply in love with her. Increasingly in love with Pierce, Rynne has inner conflicts, battling to hide her true identity and invention from Pierce in fear of him believing that she is only having the affair as a means to coax him into agreeing to be a laboratory test dummy.
Sexy scenes and harrowing developments bring heat and excitement to an emotional story. Pierce’s self confidence strengthens as his love for Rynne intensifies. Rynne consistently battles with all those around her, fiercely protecting her love for Pierce. Byron soon sees the error of his ways and works toward making amends. Hot. Further work on character and plot development could make this book a sizzling hot read.

Fallen Angels Review

Devilishly Yours is a captivating tale of two people having a very erotic Halloween. Ms. Rochelle has created multifaceted characters that will charm the reader. Ajana and Ryan each have a code of conduct that is very important to them and veering from that is the result of something special. The two share a sexual connection that is amazing but each has a job to do. I really enjoyed that while the two desired one another they were not willing to totally give up their original objectives. I look forward to reading more from this author.

SPECIAL DELIVERY is a wonderful story about two opposites attracting and setting off sparks in every way.  Preston has a chip on his shoulder about the holidays and it takes a charismatic woman like Layla to make him question why.  Layla is a dynamic character with plenty of spunk and wit to keep the story rolling.  When the sparks fly with this couple the fall out is nuclear.  Marie Rochelle is a spectacular author with a bright future.  I can’t wait to see what exciting adventure her next book will bring.

TAKEN BY STORM is an awesome tale of love that breaks all color barriers.  Syleena is a courageous character that has some issues in her past that must be dealt with before she can make a future for herself.  Storm is a jerk in the very beginning, and at first you wonder if you will like him as the hero.  It is soon apparent why he acted the way he did and as the book progresses you get to know him better and later even find out why he acts the way he does.  The passion between this couple is hotter than hot and can cause a heat wave.  Mean hearted characters that don’t want the couple to be together accent the plot and keep the reader turning the pages.  I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will certainly be looking forward to more of her work in the future.
